Seven years ago today, 343 firefighters and paramedics were among 3,018 people who died during or after terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City NY; The Pentagon in Washington DC; and aboard United Airlines Flight 93 over Shanksville PA . The Sanatoga Fire Company since Sunday (Sept. 7, 2008) has observed the occasion with a sign outside its doors at the corner of East High Street and South Pleasantview Road, Sanatoga PA.

Members of Cub Scout Pack 249 at St. Aloysius Church, Pottstown, also were guests at the station later this afternoon to honor Sanatoga’s volunteers as part of their Patriots’ Day celebration. The scouts’ visit was covered by television startion WFMZ, Channel 69, Allentown PA.
