Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township residents who subscribe to Comcast Corp. for Internet services at home or work will see the speed of their online connections climb in coming weeks, the service provider claims.
Comcast, the nation’s largest cable operator, is franchised with the township to provide television, telephone and Internet services to paying users. Most subscribers in the greater Philadelphia area will see their Internet speeds double, the company said. The roll-out of increased service may not be completed until year-end. Some subscribers may need to make limited computer hardware or software changes to take advantage of the increase.
