An 18th annual Blessing of the Animals ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 7 (2008) at 2 p.m. at the Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines, 1710 Ridge Road, Pottstown PA.  Ryerss is a retirement facility for aged and abused horses, founded in 1888. The farm is located on 383 acres of rolling hills south of Pottstown off PA Route 23, 13.4 miles from Sanatoga village center.

Visitors and their pets may attend, but pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.  A short, non-denominational service will be conducted.  An individual blessing for all animals in attendance will follow.

The farm is open free to visitors daily between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. For information, call 866-469-0507.
