POTTSTOWN PA – Pottstown Memorial Medical Center (PMMC) this month is opening a new Center for Wound Healing, offering specialized care for wounds that won’t heal on their own.

The center provides treatment with state-of-the-art technology, including two hyperbaric oxygen chambers, a hospital spokesman said. Likely candidates for wound care treatment include those suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, compromised skin grafts and flaps, and wounds that haven’t healed within 30 days.

Dr. Benjamin Eskra and Dr. Dennis Montiero, plastic surgeons on staff at PMMC, have been named center co-medical directors. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
