'The Post' Joins AP Images

Every image tells a story.

Every image tells a story.

SANATOGA PA – The Sanatoga Post on Thursday (Dec. 18, 2008) became a member of AP Images, giving it access to the photography and graphics archives of The Associated Press. The AP, as it’s known to journalists, is the world’s largest and oldest news-gathering organization.

With millions of images dating back more than 100 years, AP Images – an Associated Press subsidiary – contains one of the world’s largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery. Its archives are updated daily and include entertainment, fashion, news and sports coverage from The AP and several partners.

The Sanatoga Post’s mission is local news coverage for Sanatoga and Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township, so the vast majority of images used in and by ‘The Post’ will remain local,” said Managing Editor Joe Zlomek. “But to better explain how national events affect our growing local readership, we may occasionally license images for use from The AP. Joining AP Images is another step forward in development of ‘The Post’,” Zlomek said.

The Sanatoga Post is published by Career Education Media Ventures (CEMV) of Sanatoga PA. In addition to AP Images, CEMV and ‘The Post’ belong to the PR Newswire, Newswise, BusinessWire, Virtual Press Office, MarketWire, and PRWeb international distribution systems, and GrabNetworks and The News Market video distribution systems.
