LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The most popular consumer legal issues of 2008, according to FindLaw.com, include topics that worried township residents as well as the general public: foreclosures, politics and voting, and pet owners’ rights.
FindLaw, a legal issues website, announced this year’s top 10 list of consumer legal issues Monday (Dec. 22, 2008), with rankings based on the popularity of searches at its site, as well as most-visited legal topics and legal questions answered. Although many topics drive thousands of visitors to FindLaw daily, its 2008 list showcases the biggest movers and most timely topics.
The Top 10 in order of popularity:
- Home Foreclosure and Renter’s Rights
As of Thursday (Dec. 25, 2008), 35 properties in the 19464 zip code that includes Sanatoga and Lower Pottsgrove were currently involved in foreclosure proceedings, according to the Foreclosure Databank. Another 48 were in bankruptcy proceedings, and 1 was scheduled for auction, it reported. Dozens of other properties were similarly processed earlier in the year.
