No Business, No Agenda, No Meeting

SANATOGA PA – The area’s economic decline, mirroring that of the nation, left the Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township Planning Commission with nothing to talk about Monday night (Jan. 12, 2009). So it didn’t.

The commission canceled its regularly scheduled monthly meeting because it had no business to conduct. No new construction plans to review. No housing developments or office complexes to consider. Not even a landscaping project in sight. “No jobs, no money, and nothing’s going on,” was township Manager Rodney Hawthorne’s candid assessment.

A sign announcing the cancellation was posted Monday night in the window of the front door of the township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd. Planning commissioners are next scheduled to meet Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Assuming, of course, that there’s something to meet about.
