POTTSTOWN PA – This year’s upcoming Relay For Life against cancer, to be held once again inside Pottsgrove High School stadium during May, got a big leg up in fund-raising over the weekend with the help of 2,000 flying fingers.
That’s because about 200 people whose passion is knitting and crocheting gathered Saturday (Jan. 17, 2009) to take part in the fifth annual Pottstown KnitOut. The event, held at Brookside Country Club, 850 N. Adams St., and which raised about $5,000 on behalf of the American Cancer Society, is a social extravaganza made of yarn, needles, and a whole lot of friendly conversation.
