LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The top price for a home sold within the township from Oct. 13-17, 2008, came in at $285,000, the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper reports.

The home is located at 18 Augusta Dr. A second, at 225 Creekside Dr., sold for $242,000; a third, at 190 N. Pleasantview Rd., went for $150,000; and a fourth, at 1790 N. Sanatoga Rd., sold for $90,000. This week’s top reported prices were listed Sunday (Feb. 2, 2009) in “The Top 50,” the newspaper’s weekly review of highest prices paid for homes sold within the city of Philadelphia and the townships in its surrounding counties.

By contrast, during the same period, the top home sales price in Pottstown Borough, immediately to the west was $197,000; Limerick Township, east, $300,000; New Hanover Township, northeast, $280,000; Upper Pottsgrove Township, northwest, $240,000; and in North Coventry Township, south, none were reported.
