LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Two organizations based in the township were among those awarded a total of $1.6 million in Fall 2009 grants for community health and wellness programs by the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation, foundation Executive Director David Kraybill announced Monday (Feb. 2, 2009).
Fellowship Farm Inc., 2488 Sanatoga Rd., received a grant for continuation of its Healthy Options for the People of Pottstown (HOPP) program. The Pottsgrove School District, 1301 Kauffman Rd., received a grant to support its Student Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) Academy.
“The foundation is pleased so many schools and organizations are consistently interested in creating programs and improving services that will positively affect the quality of health and wellness in our community. This commitment to making a change is not only impressive, but vitally important to our mission,” Kraybill said.
