They paid how much?
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – For the first time in 12 weeks, not a single home sold in the township made the list of top prices paid for area housing, as reported during the period of Nov. 18-24, 2008, by the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper.
This week’s top reported prices were listed Sunday (March 1, 2009) in “The Top 50,” the newspaper’s weekly review of highest prices paid for homes sold within the city of Philadelphia and the townships in its surrounding counties.
By contrast, during the same period, the top home sales price in Pottstown Borough, immediately to the west was $156,500; Limerick Township, east, $205,000; New Hanover Township, northeast, $371,339; Upper Pottsgrove Township, northwest, none listed; and in North Coventry Township, south, none listed.
