KNAUERTOWN PA – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission‘s annual pre-season trout stocking of French Creek, which marks the start of preparations for opening day of trout fishing, will be held March 21 (2009; Saturday) at Noon in Chester County’s Warwick Park, 191 County Park Road, Pottstown PA.  The park is located 3-1/2 miles west of the intersection of Routes 100 and 23.

Visitors will be able to see trout up close and also help commission representatives release trout into the creek. The regional opening day of trout fishing for Southeastern Pennsylvania is April 4 (2009; Saturday) at 8 a.m. After opening day, the commission annually stocks streams and lakes in Pennsylvania with trout species throughout the year.
