Borough Sponsors Historic Home Show

POTTSTOWN PA – Owners of old and historic homes across Montgomery County PA, and people who someday hope to be owners as well, can stir up their interest in the past this Saturday (March 21, 2009).

A free “Historic Home Buyer and Cultural Show” produced by the borough of Pottstown is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pottstown PA campus of Montgomery County Community College, 101 College Dr. For more information, call 610-970-6520.

The show offers ideas and information about renovating and restoring interior and exterior elements of old and historic homes. More than 70 exhibits will cover architectural details, restoration, floor coverings, windows, cultural aspects and events in the borough. The show emphasizes blending today’s housing necessities with existing historic elements without compromising historic integrity.

A featured speaker will be Dr. Lori, antiques and collectibles columnist for The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper.

Co-sposnors of the show are the college and ZAP Digital of Pottstown.
