In the 2300 block of East High Street, Sanatoga.
SANATOGA PA – Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has a whole ‘nother meaning for the term “spring cleaning.”
A PennDOT road crew consisting of a street sweeper sandwiched between dump and sign trucks was busily at work Wednesday morning (April 1, 2009) at 8:50 a.m. on East High Street, just west of Sanatoga Chapel, clearing a winter accumulation of salt and debris from curbs and gutters.
An inevitable dust cloud escaped from beneath the spinning bristles of the sweeper, but that likely was a small price many residents and motorists were willing to pay in exchange for removing the residue from the roadway. What wasn’t left behind seemed to be an improvement.
