SANATOGA PA – Hundreds of people, many of them dressed in vintage 1940s clothing, turned the eighth annual World War II Swing Dance  at Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd., into another annual success Friday night (April 3, 2009).

Dance organizers Bill and Sue Krause of Pottstown, looking the part as military hosts in an affair that saluted veterans, were busy early in the evening attending to details and greeting all who entered. The Swing Fever Dance Band, also  dressed for their role, played songs from the war years and the Big Band era. There was plenty of food (including K-rations), beverages, and between-dance-numbers entertainment.

Among those enjoying the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Richards. The township's Gerald Richards Park is named for the former chairman of the Board of Comissioners.
