SANATOGA PA – VIST Financial Corp., which last September bought insurance broker Fisher Benefits Consulting, 5 S. Sunnybrook Rd., announced Monday (April 6, 2009) that it was making itself more available to clients by setting up accounts at the social networking websites of Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
The company plans to use all three sites to talk with clients about “financial topics of the day,” and promote financial literacy, according to Loren Berckey, the bank’s assistant vice president of communications. However, “using new media will not replace personal interaction with customers and the community,” Berckey added; “it will enhance it.”
On Facebook, specifically, the bank also will promote company activities and events. In addition, VIST set up Facebook age-relevant groups for users in their teens, 20s and 30s, 40s and 50s, and for small business owners, so it could deliver targeted topical information.
