LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Earth-moving crews Tuesday (April 28, 2009) continued work begun last week on about two acres of property adjacent to The Home Depot store and Aldi’s Supermarket at 295 Armand Hammer Blvd. in the township. Construction is getting under way there for a new medical office building for eye doctors.

The 9,500-square-foot building is being developed for Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. The ophthalmic specialties practice of 16 physicians currently has offices at 1503 Sunset Dr., Pottstown, as well as in Wyomissing PA and Pottsville PA.

The project first received approval from the Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township Board of Commissioners last October, and was re-approved March 19 (2009) after sewer requirements forced the physicians to lease, rather than buy, the vacant land from Home Depot.
