LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Think of this as Pottsgrove High School‘s fun and innocent walk on the wild side.

After a four-year absence, the high school has announced it is reviving its “Mr. Pottsgrove” competition for male students, to be held May 21 (2009; Thursday) at 4 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 1345 Kauffman Rd. Admission of $4 per person will be charged. The proceeds benefit charitable causes.

The event has been billed as a “pageant for the males here at Pottsgrove, any grade.” Participants must select and model their own casual and swim wear, and display a talent.

“Are you man enough to participate in this event?,” students recently were asked during the school’s daily announcements. That challenge aside, past events have been considered “hilarious.”
