District Honors Retiring Teachers

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Three teachers retiring this year from their employment with the Pottsgrove School District were recognized Tuesday night (June 16, 2009) by the district Board of School Directors for their collective decades of service.

Teachers Arlene Connell and Candice Brucker personally accepted retirement gifts and the board’s thanks during the directors’ regular meeting in the district Administration Building, 1301 Kauffman Rd. Teacher Cheri Law also was recognized, but was unable to attend the board meeting.

Connell has worked in the district for about 40 years, and has taught in all three of its elementary schools, ending at Ringing Rocks. Brucker has taught for about 20 years, ending at Ringing; and Law for a similar period, according to district Superintendent Dr. Bradley Landis, ending at the Middle School.
