SANATOGA PA – A 7-hour training workshop for volunteer literacy tutors, sponsored by the YWCA Tri-County Area Adult Literacy Center, will be held Saturday (June 27, 2009) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 1830 E. High St.
The program provides support and professional training for volunteers to become effective tutors. Previous experience is not required. Upon training completion, volunteers will be paired with adults who hope to become more knowledgeable in the English language or math.
Registration is required. A $12 fee will be charged for training materials and lunch. For more information, call 610-326-7323.
