POTTSTOWN PA – As word spread Tuesday (Nov. 24, 2009) of the death or injury of friends with whom they once studied and joked, teens and others in the Pottsgrove School District and beyond took to social media forums like Twitter and Facebook to express personal emotions and their sympathies for the families involved.
As of 5:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009) more than 1,400 people had declared themselves as members of a Facebook Group page titled “RIP Andrew Case and Mike Cantamaglia,” that mourns the passing of two Pottsgrove High School students who died in a car crash Monday. Four other teens were injured but are recovering. (Find regional news media coverage of the accident here).
The messages reflect an outpouring of grief, and the desire to comfort those affected. A sampling:

Brittany Nelson Michael you were like a little brother to me. ive known you since you were 3 and i even was around when your little brother was born. i cannont believe you are truly gone and i cant even begin to describe how sad me and my family are. Chris especially is having a hard time with this since he has grown up with you, through soccer and tball, babysitting you and brandon. coming over for dinner with your mom and dad and swimming in your pool. you and chris playing tricks on me and just everything is going through my head right now. even just last year you were at our house. although you and chris grew apart over time it doesnt change how much i love you like you were family. rest in peace and take care of you family. they are going to need you more then ever right now♥
