SANATOGA PA – Weekend activities for western Montgomery County residents (and anyone else!), Feb. 19-21, 2010:

These events have been added to The Post calendar.

Friday, Feb. 19

Disc Jockey “Enchanted Midnight” will play recorded hits from the 1960s through the ’80s during an adult dance and mixer scheduled Friday (Feb. 19, 2010) from 8-11 p.m. in Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd., Sanatoga PA. A $5 admission fee will be charged at the door.

The Suburban Home & Garden Show will be held through Sunday (Feb. 18-21, 2010)  at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA. Admission Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., costs $10 at the door, or $7 with a discount coupon. The same admission price, and discount, applies during Sunday hours, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“The Mousetrap,” a play based on the Agatha Christie novel, will be presented Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20, both at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. – by Curtain Call, the drama community at Valley Forge Christian College, in the college’s Krempels Theater, 1401 Charlestown Rd., Phoenixville PA. Saturday, Feb. 20

Shoppers at Wegman’s Supermarkets can sample foods prepared from recipes in the new edition of the chain’s “Menu Magazine” on Saturday (Feb. 20, 2010) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its store in Providence Town Center, 600 Commerce Dr., Collegeville PA.

The second annual “Famous Chili Fest” of the Royersford Baptist Church will be held Saturday (Feb. 20, 2010) from noon to 2 p.m. at the church, 452 S. Lewis Rd., Royersford PA. Admission at the door, for $3 per person, buys “all-you-can-eat chili,” for those who love the taste and tolerate the heat. For more information, call the church at 610-948-4170.

The Pottstown YMCA, 724 N. Adams St., Pottstown PA, will conduct an open house Saturday (Feb. 20, 2010) from 9 am to Noon, featuring community demonstrations focused on healthy lifestyles, the benefits of massage, a Miller-Keystone blood drive, raffles, and the start of a free Freedom Valley YMCA membership trial week.  For more information, call 610-323-7300.

A night of jazz at the ‘Grove – Pottsgrove Middle School, that is – will present competing high school jazz music bands from seven different school districts Feb. 20 (2010; Saturday) beginning at 6 p.m. in the middle school, 1351 N. Hanover St., Pottstown PA. Scheduled to perform are bands from Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Boyertown, Pittston, Hempfield, North Penn and Council Rock North high schools. Tickets will be available at the door; $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors citizens and students.

Sunday, Feb. 21

The Pottstown YMCA Seahawks National Swim Team will host a spaghetti dinner Sunday (Feb. 21, 2010) from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Y, 724 N. Adams St., Pottstown PA. Ticket proceeds benefit the Seahawks. For more information, call 610-323-7300.

A 2010 bridal fair – featuring 24 vendors, complimentary sample food and cooking demonstrations, and a cash bar – will be held Sunday (Feb. 21, 2010) from 1-4 p.m. at La Massaria, the restaurant and conference center at Bella Vista Golf Club, 2901 Fagleysville Rd., Gilbertsville PA. The Woman’s Club of Birdsboro is hosting its 11th annual Basket Bingo on Sunday (Feb. 21, 2010) at 1 p.m. in the Birdsboro Community Memorial Center, Main and Mill streets, Birdsboro PA. There will be 25 games, specials, raffles and door prizes. Refreshments are available. Seating is limited. Proceeds will benefit surrounding community non-profit organizations.
