LOOK NORTH FOR SIGNS OF ACTIVITY – Restoration of the East High Street bridge that crosses Sanatoga Creek near Cutillo’s Restaurant has begun, but it’s not yet easy to spot. All lanes of the highway are open, and so far drivers have not been inconvenienced by lane closures or detours. Crews were busy this week, however, on the bridge’s north side near the Sanatoga Youth Club swimming pool. A driveway of large stones, one ample enough to support the wear and tear of heavy machinery, was laid from the pool entrance road down into a parking area at the side of the bridge. That will serve as a repair staging area in months to come.
