SANATOGA PA – Not every “i” is dotted, not every “t” is crossed on plans for rebuilding Ringing Rocks Elementary School, Pottsgrove School District representatives acknowledged Tuesday night (July 6, 2010) as they met with the Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township Board of Commissioners.
Some pesky paperwork still must be completed to the satisfaction of Bursich Associates, the township’s engineering firm, the district said.
No worry, commissioners indicated.
With its promise that those remaining items will be resolved, board members voted unanimously to approve the final land development plan for reconstruction and expansion of the school at 1401 Kauffman Rd., Pottstown PA.
Their seal of approval on the plans, which have been reviewed by a variety of township and other municipal agencies over several months, means the district can break ground soon and get contractors working. Board President Jonathan Spadt was absent from the meeting and did not vote.
A district Board of School Directors’ meeting is expected to be held later this month – even though that board normally is not convened during July – to accept bids, authorize the work, and get things rolling.
“Congratulations. You’re done coming to board meetings,” township Solicitor R. Kurtz Holloway told a Pottsgrove group of three after the vote was taken. “Just finish up the paperwork,” Holloway added.
Happy to oblige, came their response.
