SCORE Announces Classes On Business Start-Ups

POTTSTOWN PA – “How to Start and Operate a Small Business,” a workshop series for entrepreneurs conducted by the Pottstown PA chapter of SCORE, will begin Sept. 13 (2010; Monday) from 7-9:30 p.m. and will continue every Monday night at the same times through Oct. 4 in the SCORE office at 244 High St., Suite 102, Pottstown PA.

This event has been added to The Post calendar.

    The seminars are specifically intended for those who are considering starting a business, as well as those who currently operate a small business. All courses are taught by experienced members of SCORE and outside practitioners recognized as experts in their specific fields.

    Each session normally costs $25 per person, with additional persons from the same business cost $12.50. A special price of $100 per person is being offered for all four courses as a package, and as a bonus it also includes a manual – valued at an additional $20 – on preparing a business plan.

    Sessions in the series will cover:

    • Tax and Legal Implications of Different Legal Structures, Sept. 13;
    • The Business Plan and Business Loan, Sept. 20;
    • Marketing, Sept. 27; and
    • It’s All About Profit – Oct. 4.
