  • Local Prescription Drug Take-Back Operating Today
    Seven area law enforcement agencies, including those in Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick (PA) Townships, are collecting unwanted prescription drugs today (Saturday). Their hope: to keep those meds out of abusers’ hands.
  • County Starts Keim Street Bridge Work Monday
    Work crews from Montgomery County’s roads department will close the Keim Street bridge in Pottstown all next week while it makes some repairs. Detour routes will be in effect.
  • Keep Healthy Next Week
    A weekly review of free or low-cost local seminars, support groups, screenings, tests and clinics to help you stay healthy and fit, sponsored or conducted by community health care organizations.

    • Spring-Ford High Open House Welcomes Parents
      A Tuesday night event gave parents an opportunity to meet teachers, and district residents the chance to explore the cavernous, interconnected building. The place is so big, student volunteers were distributing floor maps.

  • Company Cancels Zoning Hearing On Digital Sign
    Haines and Kibblehouse withdrew its request for a Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township zoning hearing. It is expected to be re-scheduled at a later date.
  • Stuff To Do This Weekend
    Want entertainment? The Fringe Festival in Collegeville, and Steel Magnolias in Skippack, take to the stage. Want fresh? Hit the farm markets in Boyertown, Phoenixville and Skippack. Want fun? Community days are set in Limerick and Upper Frederick. And food-gorging for a good cause is Sunday’s Carousel of Flavor in Pottstown.
