Spring City Seeks Bidders For Garbage Hauling

SPRING CITY PA – It’s renewal time for the garbage collection contract in Spring City.

Borough Administrator Dennis Rittenhouse, in an advertisement published Friday (Oct. 15), announced Spring City would seek vendors to bid on a contract for the “collection, transportation and disposal of all refuse and garbage” beginning Jan. 1, 2011. Sealed bids are being accepted through Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at borough hall, 6 S. Church St., Spring City PA.

The ad appeared in The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper, the borough’s publication of record for legal notices.

Borough council members are expected to review the bids, and may accept that of the lowest responsible bidder, Nov. 1 (2010; Monday) at 7:30 p.m. during its regular meeting.
