The Night They Didn’t Play Football

Real men play football in the snow.

“As Tom Hanks famously stated in the movie, “A League of Their Own,” there’s ‘no crying in baseball.’ And there’s no canceling an NFL football game because of bad weather. It’s blasphemy. It’s un-American.”

By postponing the Philadelphia Eagles-Minnesota Vikings football game Sunday because of snow, “we, as a nation, have changed forever.”

  1. Edward Cox says:

People travel to and from the game great distances and via car and rapid transit but mostly by car. With the Blizzard bearing down on the city and roads rapidly deterirorating Mayor Nutter made a wise safety call.

I fully support the decision. Those who didn’t lose their lives, had their cars smashed, injuries etc should also realize Public Safety is paramount to a “game” It’s called a game for a reason….

The real whiners are those that lost their illegal bets….
