POTTSTOWN PA – What was to have been the kick-off meeting at 7 tonight (Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011) for the Pottsgrove School District’s Community Budget Task Force has been postponed due to concerns about inclement weather, the district office announced by e-mail this morning at 11:15 a.m. The meeting has been re-scheduled for Feb. 15 (Tuesday), also at 7 p.m., in Pottsgrove High School.
Worries over “freezing rain and local road conditions” prompted the change, according to the e-mail. The district also closed its school buildings for the day, it said in a separate e-mail at 5:45 a.m.
The first meetings of the task force sub-committees, intended to closely examine specific categories of expenses, also have been pushed back. They are now scheduled to begin Feb. 23 (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. at the high school.
