Commissioners Approve Park Trail Bid Advertising

SANATOGA PA – More than 1,400 feet of walking trail, including four boardwalks, two observation areas, and 5 interpretive signs are likely to be installed in Lower Pottsgrove‘s Sprogels Run Woods Park on Timberview Drive, following action Monday night (March 7, 2011) by the township Board of Commissioners.

Commissioners unanimously and without comment agreed to advertise for bidders to complete the more than 2-year-old project. It will be paid for using $75,000 in grant money supplied by Occidental Chemical Corp. and the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation. The amount “will easily” cover project costs, Manager Rodney Hawthorne said.

Board President Jonathan Spadt was absent and did not vote.
