Township’s Sewer Main Contractors Finish One Run

BUSILY LAYING BIG PIPE – Contractors working on behalf of the Lower Pottsgrove Sewer Authority this week finished laying a run of force main pipe (above) between the township pumping station on Porter Road and the borough of Pottstown’s waste water treatment plant (bottom). In between the two, the pipe crosses several properties, including those of A.D. Moyer Lumber and Home Depot, both on Armand Hammer Boulevard, and The 422 Sportsplex on Industrial Highway. Work along the highway’s curb on Wednesday (March 9, 2011) caused minor delays (below) in traffic routing. More pipe is being laid from Porter Road west toward the Sanatoga interchange of U.S. Route 422.
