NORRISTOWN PA – Montgomery County intends to launch a new program that would help small businesses create and preserve employment in its central business districts, county Director of Communications John Corcoran announced Friday (July 22, 2011). Details of the program will be presented next Thursday (July 28, 2011) at 11 a.m. in Hatboro Borough Hall, 414 S. York Rd., Hatboro PA, he said.

The program is designed to allow businesses to borrow up to $100,000 at low interest rates, provided they can demonstrate at least one full-time job will be created or preserved for every $25,000 borrowed.
Ken Klothen, the county’s director of economic development, will be joined by Hatboro Borough Manager Steven J. Plaugher, Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth, and members of the Hatboro business community for the announcement and to discuss the program.
