POTTSTOWN PA – Pottstown, not Blue Bell and not Reading, gets top billing in two targeted video commercials that Reading PA-based Albright College has begun running on local television stations and which it uploaded Saturday (Sept. 24, 2011) to YouTube.
The liberal arts college is touting its accelerated completion program for bachelor’s degrees, which it conducts at the College Drive, Pottstown, campus of Montgomery County Community College. Albright is one of MCCC’s partners in the community college’s “University Center” for degrees beyond its two-year associates’ level programs.
- Watch a video (above) of one of the two commercials (find the second one here), or see them both at the college’s YouTube user account.
With MCCC’s annually rising enrollment, due to growth at the Pottstown campus and a strong demand for more affordable higher education, the number of local associates’ degree-holders who want to earn a bachelor’s degree has grown too. Albright’s commercials attempt to tap that primary market, with its offerings in Blue Bell and Reading as second and third choices, respectively.
Classes for Albright degrees under the accelerated program currently cover Accounting, Crime and Justice, Business Administration, and Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology. Others are offered periodically.
It has scheduled two information sessions on accelerated completion for Oct. 13 (2011; Thursday) from 5-6 p.m. and again from 6-7 p.m. at MCCC Pottstown. Advance reservations are suggested; register online, here.
