FLEETWOOD PA – More than 200 players who participated Friday (April 27, 2012) in the eighth annual Charity Golf Invitational sponsored by Diamond Credit Union at Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood PA, helped raise a total of $33,500 to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event, Diamond representatives announced Monday (April 30).

The credit union is headquartered on Medical Drive in Lower Pottsgrove Township.

“This event never ceases to amaze me,” Diamond President and CEO John Faust said. “We receive so much support from our vendors, business partners, members, friends, and family to make this event even better than the previous year. I am thankful for all of the sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who make this event a success.”

Faust was on hand to present an oversize check for the total collected to Erik McGaughey of Berks County Relay For Life, and Wendy Zimmerman from Pottstown Area Relay For Life. Diamond is the presenting sponsor for the Berks event, and among the top sponsors in Pottstown’s relay.

The invitational is organized by Diamond’s co-chairmen, Information Technology Vice President Jim Daly and Marketing Vice President Todd Rothenberger.

Diamond is the 18th largest credit union in Pennsylvania, and holds more than $389 million in assets with more than 41,000 members.
