THE ICEMEN COMETH – A 10-pound bag of ice flies through the air Saturday (May 19, 2012) between two employees of Home City Ice Company, as they deliver a load to re-stock the ice machine at the Turkey Hill convenience market, 3051 E. High St., Sanatoga. Temperatures in and around Pottstown reached into the high ’70s Saturday, according to AccuWeather forecasts, about 10 degrees higher than customary for the season. The unusual warmth made lots of people smile during their outdoor activities, but it made them thirsty too for icy-cold drinks. A Turkey Hill employee, at right, counted the bags as the machine was filled. Although its headquarters is in Ohio, Home City’s local office is located in East Greenville PA.
