Township Board Approves Berean Church Gym Plans

Township Board Approves Berean Church Gym Plans

RECEIVING FINAL REVIEW – Lower Pottsgrove Township’s Board of Commissioners gave its final review and approval Thursday night (May 24, 2012) to land development plans for construction of a gymnasium addition at Berean Bible Church, 2675 E. High St., Sanatoga. The gym, which will provide space for the church to grow its youth programs while leaving its worship area undisturbed, has been in various planning stages for almost two years, Berean Administrative Pastor Bill Neitz has said. Township Assistant Manager Alyson Elliott, left, presented and explained the plans to the board, including commissioners Jonathan Spadt, center, and James Kaiser, right. Board members said they were satisfied the church had met its obligations to notify surrounding neighbors of its plans, and removed from their accepting resolution specific language that required further notices. They denied a church request, however, to eliminate the need for a final set of “as-built” drawings that could cost it several thousand dollars. Construction of the project could start within weeks.
