POTTSTOWN PA – Personnel actions recommended by the Pottsgrove School District administration were accepted last Tuesday (June 26, 2012) by the Board of School Directors. A total of 11 positions are affected. They include:
Professional resignation
- Mark Huesser, a science teacher in the alternative education program, effective June 11 (2012).
Professional appointments
- Meganlyn Rendina, as a reading specialist at Ringing Rocks effective Aug. 22, at the contractual rate paid for those at Masters 30 Step 5; and
- Elizabeth Bevan, as a long-term substitute, effective Aug. 22-March 1 (2013), at the pro-rated salary of $41,929.
Support staff assignment/classification changes
- Debbie Freedman from support staff substitute to part-time staff nurse, at $19 per hour, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year;
- Tina Edelson, from instructional assistant at Ringing Rocks to instructional assistant at Lower Pottsgrove, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year;
- Vicki Ambs, from instructional assistant at West Pottsgrove to instructional assistant at Lower Pottsgrove, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year;
- Samantha Christ, from student assistant at Ringing Rocks to student assistant at Lower Pottsgrove, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year;
- Greta Collins, from student assistant at Ringing Rocks to student assistant at Lower Pottsgrove, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year;
- Wendy Zimmerman, from student assistant at Ringing Rocks to student assistant at Lower Pottsgrove, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year; and
- Jennifer Rotunda, from student assistant at West Pottsgrove to instructional assistant at Ringing Rocks, wages unchanged, effective the first day of the 2012-2013 school year.
Conference attendance
- Kelly Snyder, elementary teacher, to attend “Wilso Language Fundations Training.” The cost is $250. Substitute coverage is not required.
