SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove’s Board of Commissioners had little to talk about – nothing to talk about, in fact – during its second meeting of the month, which had been scheduled for Thursday night (July 19, 2012) at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd. So, in an economy of effort that sometimes escapes bureaucracy, it called the whole thing off.
The meeting was canceled, as announced in an e-mail distributed Thursday morning at about 11:35. The board is next scheduled to meet Aug. 6 (Monday), also at 7 p.m. in the municipal building.
“I didn’t have any agenda items” for the meeting, township manager Rodney Hawthorne acknowledged. Why then, he reasoned, waste the time to assemble at all? Commissioners agreed.
Hawthorne said he likely will have a full agenda for the August get-together in the building’s conference room, supported by the usual stack of monthly reports and chairs filled by the professionals who issued them.
