Come Giggle At A Pickle In Township Sunday Concert

The Paisley Pickles perform in concert

SANATOGA PA – The Paisley Pickles, a children-focused group that promises to “bring the zing back into your musical diet” will be featured on stage Sunday (Aug. 5, 2012) beginning at 7 p.m. at the bandshell in Sanatoga Park, South Sanatoga Road, as the latest act in the summer concert series presented by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Parks and Recreation Board. The event is free and open to the public.

The group promotes itself as “blending creative lyrics with their signature mixture of jazz, punk and rock (to) cook up an engaging musical feast that satisfies children and parents alike.”

No reservations are required. “Bring the family, a beach blanket or chair, and enjoy a night … under the stars,” board secretary Jennifer Corley said.

However, the scheduled programs are weather-dependent. If rain threatens a concert, it will be re-scheduled for 7 p.m. on the following day. To find out if an event must be rescheduled, check the home page of the township website, send an e-mail to aelliott@lowerpottsgrove.org, or call (610) 960-1314 after 5 p.m. on the day of the event.

Only one more show remains in the series after the Pickles’ performance. That’s on Aug. 12, when the Pottsgrove Community Band – the series’ perennial season-closing act – takes to the bandshell stage.

The concert series is sponsored by Exelon Nuclear. For more information, call the township municipal building at 610-323-0436, Ext. 207.
