SANATOGA PA – A fund-raiser to benefit the Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House, 4108 Baltimore Ave., Philadelphia, will be held Oct. 12 (2012; Friday) from 7-10 p.m. aboard the Cruiser Olympia docked at the Independence Seaport Museum on the city’s waterfront, according to Billy Worrell, adjutant for BG Elmer S. Friedberg American Legion Post 244 of Sanatoga, which is a consistent supporter of the comfort house’s efforts to assist homeless veterans.

The comfort house was founded in 1994, and is funded in part by veterans service organizations like the American Legion. It also assists veterans suffering from cancer.
Tickets for the gala cost $50, and are available by mail from the comfort house, or at its website, here.
