Pottsgrove Personnel Decisions Affect 19 PositionsPOTTSTOWN PA – Personnel actions recommended by the Pottsgrove School District administration were accepted last Tuesday (Aug. 14, 2012) by the Board of School Directors. A total of 53 positions were affected. They include:

Professional resignation

  • Lindsey Stock, an English teacher at the high school, effective July 26 (2012);
  • Tom Stock, an English and lead teacher in the alternative education program, effective July 27;
  • Lyda Ramer-Hunter, a part-time German teacher at the high and middle schools, effective Aug. 17.

Assignment/classification change

  • Susan Cash, from German teacher to English teacher at the high school, effective Aug. 22.

Professional appointments

  • David Moyer, as science teacher in the alternative education program, at a wage of $31.50 hourly, effective Aug. 22.

Resignation of substitutes

  • Mary Lou Faitoute, effective July 23; Marshall Claffy, effective July 16; Kristin Butler, effective July 1; and Joanne Birely, effective Aug. 13.

Support staff resignations

  • Todd Covel, custodial supervisor, effective Aug. 3; Christine Shuster, Lower Pottsgrove duty aide, effective Aug. 6; and Samantha Crist, Lower Pottsgrove student assistant, effective Aug. 7.

Support staff assignment/classification changes

  • Mimi Drozdowski, kindergarten instructional assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Marie Boothman, kindergarten instructional assistant, from West Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Barbara Sell, kindergarten instructional assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Robin Forster, kindergarten instructional assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Trish Downey, kindergarten instructional assistant, from 3.5 to 4 hours per day at Ringing Rocks;
  • Tracy Dise, intervention tutor, from West Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Susan Wolbert, intervention tutor, from 4.5 to 4.75 hours per day at Ringing Rocks;
  • Marlene Smale, from duty aide and door monitor to duty aide only at Ringing Rocks;
  • Shelley Biagini, duty aide, from 3.5 to 3.2 hours per day at Ringing Rocks;
  • Brenda Tomaselli, from kindergarten instructional aide to kindergarten instructional and duty aide at West Pottsgrove;
  • Lisa Bush, from kindergarten instructional aide to kindergarten instructional and duty aide at West Pottsgrove;
  • Mary Savarese, intervention tutor, from 4.0 to 4.2 hours per day at West Pottsgrove;
  • Stacey Robie, duty aide, from 2.5 to 3.75 hours per day at West Pottsgrove;
  • Eileen Thomas, student assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Barbara Nichols, instructional assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Tammy Young, instructional assistant, from Lower Pottsgrove to Ringing Rocks;
  • Debbie Bowden, instructional assistant, from West Pottsgrove to Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Holly Tinsley, from support staff substitute to student assistant at Pottsgrove Middle School;
  • Carol Roth, duty aide at Ringing Rocks to support staff substitute;
  • Lori Tait, duty aide, from West Pottsgrove to Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Aubry Pace, duty aide, from 2.5 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Rosemary Lorenzo, duty aide, from 2.5 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Jessica Klaus, duty aide, from 3.75 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Hollie Kasper, duty aide, from 3.75 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Gail Ivins, duty aide, from 3.75 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Melanie Guerrette, duty aide, from West Pottsgrove to Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Polly Goldcamp, duty aide, from 3.5 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Arlene Bianco, duty aide, from 3.5 to 3.2 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Judy Miller, intervention tutor, from 5 to 4.25 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Jolyn Kleinschmidt, intervention tutor, from 5 to 4.25 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Kelly Towson, intervention tutor, from 3 to 3.3 hours at Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Melody Milkovits, intervention tutor, from Ringing Rocks to Lower Pottsgrove; and
  • Kim Gleason, from duty aide at West Pottsgrove to support staff substitute.

Support staff appointments

  • Anthony Wiglusz, maintenance, $23.08 hourly;
  • Ethan Baum, duty aide at Pottsgrove Middle School, $11.02 hourly; and
  • Dawn Waldman-Brotschul, duty aide at Ringing Rocks, $11.02 hourly.

Resignation of substitutes

  • Kathleen McGroarty, support staff substitute, effective July 11.

Special payments

  • Maria Benedict (resigned); Rachel DePaoli (appointed): Grade 1 coordinator at Ringing Rocks.

Conference attendance

  • Meganlyn Rendina, reading specialist, and Elizabeth Bevan, second grade LTS, to attend Wilson Fundations training. The cost is $250. Substitute coverage is not required.
