SANATOGA PA – It’s that budget time of year.
A tag team of Lower Pottsgrove Township commissioners – specifically, James Kaiser and Michael McGroarty – has already begun working with municipal building staffers in a committee to prepare the 2013 township budgets. On Thursday (Aug. 23, 2012), the Board of Commissioners agreed the committee will take its act public in three scheduled afternoon meetings.
Board members designated Sept. 20, Oct. 4 and Oct. 25, all at 4 p.m. in Lower Pottsgrove’s offices, 2199 Buchert Rd., as budget meeting days. If you want to see how the township’s finances are presented, discussed, and assembled – be forewarned, it’s not unlike how sausage is made – you’re welcome to attend, Kaiser said.
The budget usually is presented in preliminary form during November, and finalized in December.
