It Doesn’t Quite Look Like Home, But It’s Pretty Close

It's Doesn't Quite Look Like Home, But It's Pretty Close

OFFERING THAT ‘HOMEY’ TOUCH … AT SCHOOL – Two matching end tables and lamps, a wide high-backed seating bench and a blue oval country-style rug now occupy the waiting area inside the office at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School, 1329 Buchert Rd., Pottstown. Principal Ruth Fisher, in her September (2012) parent newsletter, reported the decor was donated by parents and staff members at the school to reflect “warmth” for all who enter there. A goal set by the school Parent Involvement Committee was to make the building gateway more “invitational and family-friendly.” The committee can always use more volunteer help, Fisher noted. Its next meeting is scheduled for Thursday (Sept. 20) in the school library.
