At Parks’ Board Monday Meeting, Hashing Out Rules

Lower Pottsgrove’s Parks and Recreation Board was to have begun work Monday night on creating a set of behavior rules and regulations for use of the township playgounds

SANATOGA PA – Creating a list of rules and regulations that will apply to behavior and conduct on all children’s playgrounds in Lower Pottsgrove Township, including the newly installed equipment (above) at Gerald Richards Park on Buchert Road in Sanatoga, was scheduled to be discussed Monday night (Sept. 24, 2012) during the Parks and Recreation Board meeting, according to township Assistant Manager Alyson Elliott.

The five-member board is being asked to address a variety of problems, noted by parents and others, in dealing with rough or potentially harmful activities at Richards, as well as at the sizable playground in Sanatoga Park.

Elliott last week told the Board of Commissioners the new rules should be ready for posting within a month.
