Veterans, Falcons Big Winners In Friday's Big Game

A NIGHT ON WHICH LOCAL VETERANS, AND FALCONS, SHINED – Pottsgrove High School’s football Falcons rushed on to the field at their School Lane, Pottstown PA, stadium Friday night (Sept. 28, 2012) waving American flags (above) as part of the team and district tribute to area veterans, promoted as “Operation American Pride.” Once on the field, Pottsgrove promptly began a 26-0 shut-out of the visiting Spring-Ford Golden Rams, for another Pioneer Athletic Conference game in which the Falcons have so far gone undefeated. Red, white and blue (naturally) were the favored colors of the evening, and they were reflected in the clothing and make-up choices exhibited by members of the vaunted (and much-talked-about on social media) Pottsgrove High cheering section (below).
