Forms Ready Soon For Township Fall Festival Contest

Popular games like the bean-bag toss are a staple at Lower Pottsgrove’s Fall festival

SANATOGA PA – A costume contest, hayrides, crafts and games all are planned for the return of Lower Pottsgrove Township’s Fall Festival, currently scheduled for Oct. 27 (2012; Saturday) at the playground in Sanatoga Park, by way of the South Park Road entrance off East High Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Times for this year’s festival have not yet been announced, but in years past it has begun at about 1 p.m. The township reports additional information will be posted soon on its Facebook page, here, and also will be distributed in contest registration forms that will be sent home from selected Pottsgrove area schools this month.

Advance registration for the contest is necessary (that’s why the forms are being circulated), but parents also can accomplish that task at the playground on festival day. Contest judges will be looking for the scariest, funniest, prettiest, and most creative titles as participants parade around the playground.

The festival is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department with financial support from area businesses.
