SANATOGA PA – The 10th annual Fall Festival conducted by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Parks and Recreation Board, which includes a parade for children in Halloween costumes, begins Saturday (Oct. 27, 2012) at 11 a.m. in the upper level of Sanatoga Park, 223 S. Sanatoga Rd., next to the “tot lot” playground. The event is free and open to the public.
- This event has been added to The Post calendar.
The event includes hayrides, games, arts and crafts, and snacks (usually an apple or bag of chips). The parade for children age 11 and younger is part of a contest in which volunteer judges select the funniest costume, scariest costume, most original costume, and best costume of the day. Advance registration for the contest is required, and as in years past kids who want to compete can be registered as they enter the festival.
The best way to reach the festival is by Park Road, on the south side of East High Street across from the Sanatoga Corp. appliance store. It ends at the entrance to the park’s upper level. If you’ve never been there before, you’ll find not only the playground, but a large baseball field, a large soccer field, and a lengthy paved walking path.
The festival is sponsored by the board and Exelon Nuclear.
