POLICE CARS GIVEN A TEMPORARY NEW HOME – It’s normal to see police cars parked in the lots of the Lower Pottsgrove Township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd., where the police station is located. What’s unusual about this arrangement, seen Sunday morning (Oct. 28, 2012) at 9 a.m., is the cars’ new parking spaces. They’re aligned higher on the hill at the property’s west edge. The north edge, where the cars are most often seen, is a low-lying area that floods during heavy rains. The department obviously wants to keep its fleet out of the way of water due from Hurricane Sandy.
