POTTSTOWN PA – Utility and service companies, aware that Pennsylvania customers could be affected by disruptions or outages wrought by Hurricane Sandy, have begun sending advance advisories on how to deal with those problems.
Here’s one such message, received Sunday at 2:27 a.m. by The Post via e-mail from Verizon Corp.:
“In the event of extreme weather conditions associated with Hurricane Sandy, impacted areas could experience storm-related outages. For up-to-date information throughout the storm, please visit http://www.verizon.com/outage,” it said.
“You can also visit http://www.verizon.com/repair for troubleshooting tips, instructions on how to restore your service, and (to) open a trouble ticket if needed. In the event of an outage, we will do all that we can to restore your service as quickly as possible. Please stay safe and thank you for being a Verizon customer,” the message added.
