BLUE BELL PA – A attorneys’ blog that primarily covered the nuances of education law in Pennsylvania, and which in part was written by Pottsgrove School District Solicitor Kyle Berman, is ending its seven-year-long publishing run in favor of a series of monthly newsletters.
The Education Law Blog of the Fox Rothschild LLP law firm announced in a post last Friday (Oct. 26, 2012) that it would close and be replaced by a “new education law e-series of monthly newsletters devoted to the changes and observations impacting educational professionals and institutions.”
“E-series,” the firm explained, means the newsletter will be electronically delivered to subscribers’ in-boxes. Those interested in subscribing can do so here, but be forewarned: Fox Rothschild’s marketing team wants more than just an e-mail address to sign you up. Its web form contains 11 information fields to fill, and none of them are marked “optional.”
The topic of education law probably strikes most people as mundane. Public and private school officials, teachers and staff members must keep up with its changes, however, and so the blog served a worthy purpose. One of its problems was a lack of frequency; sometimes months would pass between articles. Obviously, that’s an ill the monthly newsletter hopes to cure.
Berman was the most prolific blogger of five assigned to writing duties. He wrote 11 of the 15 pieces published during 2012. He is based in the firm’s Blue Bell office.
